Is there life after death? 

Religions have something to say about this. Heaven or hell? The wheel of life with the playing out of karma?

Alan Watts speaks beautifully about one superstition about the experience of being dead as nothing happening with no-one to notice that nothing is happening.

It's hard to find a definitive answer to this question. No double-blind trials to give evidence either way.

Another question that can create perplexity is "Is there life before life?" Past life regression is the main topic for some hypnotists' practice.

I have another question - one which is, for me, way more practically relevant - "Is there life before death?"

It's so tempting to settle for a familiar unconscious routine of lifeless existence rather than the joy of risking exploring the mysteries by setting sail for those unknown shores of strangeness and differences.

Enough philosophical sermonizing.
