A woman wanted help deciding whether to marry or not. She said she loved this man but he drove her crazy.
I invited her to imagine that she could see 2 videos - one where she was married to him, and the other where she was not. She became absorbed in her experience of watching these 2 alternative futures unfolding, and after some time came out of hypnosis saying that there was no way she could marry this person. She was visibly relieved. They married 3 months later.

By chance I read your posts on '7 years' and 'should I marry or not?', Rob - beautiful... and then in cleaning out my computer came across Szasz: “I don’t do psychotherapy. I have a discussion, a conversation. I don’t know something that other people don’t know. Psychotherapy is a myth. The most important thing in life – listening to someone seriously, and talking to someone seriously. These very simple things are becoming very scarce in the modern world.” – Thomas Szasz (2009). "Simplicity is an advanced course" someone else said some time. There seems to be a lot of experience and learning and ... underpinning 'not knowing'?
Thank you
